Because items are not allocated ‘a place’, shoving stuff anywhere soon takes over. Before you know it, you’re in a mess and don’t know where to start to get out of it.
Organisational systems are a must for areas accessed by the whole family.

This is more like it. Items were allocated a shelf, starting with the prime shelf and constantly used items. Baskets contain like items together. There were 2 sets of double sheets in here and the double bed had gone years ago!!
Hint: There were many different sets of sheets – so the system of folding sets together and putting inside one of the pillowcases, worked well. Organisation is the key, if you use the space daily.
