for laundry

Multiple Peg Hanger

Sally Ann has been using this for a while and convinced me to try it.

OK I’m convinced. Yes, you’ve still got to hang out the thousand socks and undies, but the beauty of this product is, it saves a HUGE amount of clothes line space, not to mention the pegs and when it’s time to bring in the washing you simply unhook 1 thing instead of 1000 individual items.  Which is great when it looks like rain! Available from discount stores and Howards Storage World and retail around $10.00.

How to find the pair to the lost sock.

OK, we agree this isn’t rocket science BUT – it happens to everyone more than once.

It’s never been explained how 10 socks go into the wash, but only 9 come out, but if you put that single sock back in the drawer waiting for the pair to turn up – it never does.

SO, put them in a small basket in the laundry or in a bag on the back of the door knob - by keeping these lost socks separate, you WILL find the pair – eventually.

NOT all organising is time consuming – it’s simply solutions to everyday frustration!

Battery storage

We all have them thrown in drawers, but did you know they lose their charge if the postive & negative ends are touching?  We think nothing of spending $10 on a packet of batteries, but never think about how best to store them.  There are many battery storage boxes on the market, ranging from $2.95 – $6.95.

www.lifespace.com.auhas several types and postage is cheap.  You’re going to own batteries for life, so it’s worth a look.

Utility Rack – over the door

Whether you need more shelving space or are renting and want something temporary, this great Utility Rack is the answer.  It’s small enough to go behind any door, but will hold alot of items (or at least the basics of what you should keep).

At just $19.95, it’s a quick solution.

Available on-line at www.lifespace.com.au

Shoe organiser

Here’s a good idea….

It is a little hard to see, but this is a clever use for coat hooks. Instead of hanging it up high for coats and hats put it down low and hang shoes on it.
It’s not the most attractive thing we’ve seen, but still very clever!
