Everyone needs a holiday after the stress involved in packing for one.
5 Easy Packing Tips:
- Make a list. It helps you evaluate what you actually need to take. When you return, update the list and file it in your ‘holidays’ pocket in your my.organiser for next time.
- Clothes. Avoid taking your wardrobe contents by sticking to solid colours and versatile basics. Dress up or change the look of a basic outfit with small light accessories such as scarves, ties, jewellery etc.
- By rolling clothes, you can fit more into your suitcase and to lessen wrinkles, wrap in tissue paper.
- Pack small like things together in clip lock bags, such as underwear, t-shirts, socks. This has two purposes. It stops your bag becoming a jumbled mess and if you have to open your bag at customs, it lessens the embarrassment and quickens up the re-packing process. Toiletries are also best kept in clip lock bags in case bottles explode.
- Shoes are bulky, so pack them into the corners and stuff them with belts etc. To avoid shoe odour spreading in your bag, wrap them in plastic bags. The bags also double for wet clothing should you need them.
