How to Organise

Firstly you must follow the golden rule:

Only organise when your husband & children are not home!

If you live on your own, everything stays in place, but families are a different story.  A family has access to everything and generally do not return things.

If something does not have a PLACE assigned to it, we start to SHOVE

After shoving, comes CRAMMING

And then we just try to shut the door faster than things fall out.

Why are we disorganised?

  • some people buy far too much ‘stuff’
  • others keep absolutely everything
  • lack of storage
  • the we might need it one day syndrome
  • some inherit things from family
  • hand me downs can add to our problem
  • and some have husbands who keep everything that’s broken

Some people are better organisers than others, but it is something you can learn and perfect.  If you don’t take steps to reduce and organise your clutter you will drown!

It’s like being dragged out to sea.  You have 2 choices:

  • you can give up and drown
  • or you can take one stroke at a time and slowly you’ll make your way back.

Deciding to get your house in order, is exactly like this.  It’s up to you.
